What is MARCO?
MARCO is a fully automatic email archiving and offloading system. In addition to archiving email messages based on the email's embedded received date, it safely removes and relocates all archived messages from an active mail server

A lightweight server-level application, MARCO is controlled via a simple administration console and user Web interface. It creates and maintains two separate archives (historical and global) within a SQL database, offering flexibility and ease of deployment in nearly any network environment. Email is automatically archived and removed based on jobs created and scheduled by a server administrator. Once email has been archived, users can access archived messages through a Web interface, which allows them to search, view, and restore archived messages based on a host of criteria.

Why is MARCO different?
MARCO runs on your MDaemon mail server
Say goodbye to Outlook auto-archiver .pst files! So long dedicated archive servers and appliances! We don't need you any longer. MARCO is lightweight enough to run on your existing MDaemon server.

MARCO uses the header received date to archive
While others archive based on modified date, MARCO uses received date. Why? Email should be archived based on the embedded date you received the message and not the date a message was modified, moved, or copied.

MARCO automatically builds two archives
How do you ensure compliance and protect against user-deleted emails? Use two archives of course! A global archive (GA) for automatically archiving and relocating a copy of all inbound and outbound email; and a historical archive (HA) for archiving and relocating e-mail that was previously received and stored in user accounts.
MARCO automatically removes archived email
Why should you keep your archived email on your server when it can be safely stored somewhere else? And why make a copy and eat up even more space? MARCO actually REMOVES archived email from a live production server. And since MARCO is multi-domain and user aware, the domain, user, and folder structure are always preserved during and after relocation.

MARCO has native MDaemon integration
Another application with another set of user names and passwords? No way! You already have all of your email domains, users, passwords, and mail locations within MDaemon. MARCO reads this information directly from MDaemon and monitors it for any changes. Add a user to MDaemon, it appears automatically in MARCO
MARCO allows MDaemon to run better
What happens when you reduce the mail on your server?
Removing emails = less email stored on the server
Less email stored = lower resource use and less fragmentation
Lower resource use = better running server
MARCO returns valuable storage, CPU and memory resources back to your server and MDaemon.
